Arrangements in place for fair polls, says CEO Rajat Kumar
Hyderabad Dec 6 (): CEO Rajat Kumar on Thursday exhorted the electors to exercise their franchise in Dec 7 elections from 7 am to 5 pm in a free and peaceful manner and without any favour. The EC has made fool-proof arrangements with all facilities in all segments for peaceful conduct of the polls in 119 Assembly segments. The polling staff will reach all the respective segments by night and will start the poll process at 7 am on Dec 7 he said. The voters who reach the polling stations by 5 pm will be allowed to vote till the completion and those who come late will not be allowed.
Rajat Kumar told media persons at Secretariat here that the polling in 13 sensitive segments will be completed by 4 pm and the rest of the segments will be by 5 pm. Earlier, Rajat Kumar conducted a review meeting with concerned officials and instructed them for fair polls. He said that the sleuths have seized Rs 135 cr cash, liquor and other ornaments. The polling stations are just ready for the polls with deployment of security and C-VIGIL application has got tremendous response with 8000 complaints. The people can file complaints through the app on poll code violation and cooperate for smooth polls. As many as 1821 candidates are in fray for 119 segments.
