Hyderabad Sept 21 (): Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy Saturday said that education ministers from states asked the centre to revive right to educaton system and set up counseling centres in every district.
Telangana Gurukul Schools are attracting students from private schools for quality education. She said that our CM KCR gets credit for the professoinal education at Gurukul schools.
She informed media in Delhi after attending a meeting called by the Centre on National Education Policy with some changes to push for professional courses at high school level.
The states were asked to start professional courses from 8th to 10th classes and we have asked the centre to bear expenditure for primary education in the states.
Sabitha said that they have urged the Centre to set up one counselling centre each in every district.
The centre is giving mid-day meals up to 7th class and Telangana is providing the same upto 10th class she added.
