Hyderabad June 11 (): Telangana Pancayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao on Tuesday urged the centre share 50 per cent of funds for flagship Mission Bhagiratha in the state.
It costs Rs Rs 45000 cr and the centre has to bear half of it he said during a meeting of rural development and Panchayat Raj from all states called by union water resources minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Delhi.
Later Rao informed media that he sought funds and cooperation for people oriented welfare programs in the state. I also urged the Centre for funds to maintain the scheme which costs around Rs 2000 cr.
Our state is implementing ideal schemes and credit goes to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao he added.
